Started in Singapore in the 1970s by Mr David Low, the stall near Orchard Road became famous for its unique Singapore Hokkien Mee which is special in its flavors and refined textures, using a lighter sauce concoction. The main dish served by Kong Tai is the fried oysters with omelette was also high sought away, making it an iconic brand in Singapore. The oysters having to be fresh, the seasoning of fish sauce and the heat control whilst cooking are also key factors. Today, David Low is the consultant of Kong Tai, responsible for maintaining the original recipes. Exclusively at Lot 10 Hutong.
