Hon Kee Porridge

 

Hon Kee Porridge of Petaling Street was founded in 1949 in Kuala Lumpur Chinatown has more than 70 years of history and has been in the family for three generations.

In preparation for the porridge’s stock base, Grand Dame Madame Liu diligently hand-picked fresh ingredients every morning and this practice has remained until today.

The stock base uses dry cuttlefish, chicken bones, pork bones and skin and is boiled for many hours before to enhanced  the smooth silky texture of the porridge.

Authentic Malaysia’s full bowl of comfort food, crispy fried pig’s innards, minced pork with century egg and fresh sliced fish are the perfect choice of accompanying dishes.

Hon Kee Porridge has received numerous rave reviews from local media, bloggers, TV shows and food critiques including the world-renowned Mister Chua Lam.
